Hey It's Not A Cheap Laptop,
It's Simply A Great Buy!
Laptop computers are almost always more expensive than desktop computers, but despite what you might think, you can still buy a cheap laptop computer that has all of the specs you are looking for. Don't think of it as just a cheap laptop, think instead that you will be getting a great deal on a laptop! So here's how to search for discount prices to find a cheap laptop or notebook computer that will simply meets your needs exactly.
The first way to save on a laptop is to skip brand names. Trying to find a Sony or Dell that is new and inexpensive isn't impossible, but you can buy yourself even more firepower if you don't get hung up on brand name labels. You can buy other names or even "no name" brand laptops which contain exactly the same component parts made by the big manufacturers such as Intel, Athlon, Sony and Seagate. The internal quality is just simply the same. So my advice is to just do a little research to find out exactly what companies supply the internal components found in the system.
Speaking of no name laptops, how about maybe building your own? Some resellers specialize in helping you purchase all the components you want and even do the assembly for you. This is a great way to buy a cheap laptop and get at the same time exactly the right parts for your needs.
Another way to find a cheap laptop is to go for not-quite-so-new systems. Look for dealers that sell open box, refurbished or reconditioned laptops. You might even find that brand name you want! These type of computers have been cleaned up, possibly upgraded and made to look like new. A warranty may even be available. Don't ever confuse these type of laptops with used laptops, since used laptops are generally being sold by their user in an "as-is" condition, not by a computer dealer who has checked the system and repaired or upgraded parts where needed.
So lastly of course is buying a used computer system. These can be tricky if don't really know your way around a laptop system. Buying a used system is like buying a used car: Let the buy beware. You will have to ask all the right questions about how the system has been used, what components are included, what condition are they in and whether anything is malfunctioning. And find out if there is a transferable warranty in place on the unit. You can definitely find a used cheap laptop, but you also may be buying someone else's problem too. Always make sure you know what you're doing. And as a last resort you could purchase your computer using PayPal or some other service that will offer you some type of buyer protection.
So as you can see, it really is possible with just a little leg work to find a cheap laptop with good components, a possible warranty in place and you just may even find that brand name computer you want at a simply great price.
